Location:  B'nai Shalom, 300 Pleasant Valley Way, West Orange. This event is in collaboration with B'nai Shalom, Congregation Beth El, Temple Beth Shalom, and Congregation B'nai Israel.

Tisha b’Av commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples, as well as myriad tragedies over the course of Jewish history. This service inaugurates the 25 hour fast which we hope will send strength to all those in Am Yisrael (the Jewish people) who need our solidarity and prayers. To capture the sense of being part of the larger Jewish community as we collectively fast and pray, this year we will join with our local Conservative movement congregations for ma’ariv and the chanting of Eicha (Lamentations).
