Avia Hannah Bearg (z'l) was a vibrant young woman and a talented musician who died on September 17, 2000 at the age of 18. When diagnosed with a rare form of childhood cancer at age 16 and told there was no cure, she fought to survive and was able to do so because of the donations of blood and platelets by total strangers. To enable others, especially those fighting childhood cancers, to survive and possibly be cured, this blood drive is critical.
